1228 Parkway Art SpaceBuilding a WordPress Ecommerce site with WooCommerce
creating a space for art & Learning
Santa Fe artists James Koskinas and Julie Schumer wanted to share their studio with other artists, and to use the space for workshops.
We designed a WordPress site to feature the space, provide a schedule of events, tell about James’ and Julie’s artwork, and allow visitors to sign up for workshops. The popular WooCommerce add-on was the logical choice for listing the workshops, managing signups and accepting payment, since it works seamlessly with WordPress and connects easily with payment options like PayPal and SquareUp.
The site also incorporates YouTube videos to provide workshop videos and testimonials. I set up a YouTube channel to feature workshop videos, participant testimonials, and short art conversations featuring Julie and James discussing their processes as artists as well as the business aspect of art. YouTube is the second-most used search engine, after Google, so is a valuable asset for driving traffic to the site.
